Samskara Retreat Centre is located just about an hour and twenty minutes drive from Reykjavik in the small village of Laugarás.  The village was built up around a geo thermal hot spring area that supplies the many vegetable farms in the area with an abundance of hot water to keep the greenhouses warm during the cold winters.

In 2019 Sonja Magnusdottir bought one of those old vegetable farms with the vision of transforming it into a place where people could come for healing, self reflection, discovery and creativity.
